PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
About the program: Capturing still images of our natural world creates strikingly beautiful art, but there is also a beauty in the temporal changes we cannot see in a single image. Transitions of light, clouds, and events can produce stunning time-lapse videos, but more importantly, the techniques to capture these still images can provide opportunities for picking the exact frame from a moment or enable blending of frames at different light values for optimal effect. In the program we will review these techniques, touch on some infrared photography and time permitting, discuss how drones can really change the perspective of landscape photography.
KEITH BIO
Keith is a passionate photographer who has been shooting seriously for almost 10 years. His love affair with photography began with a love of nature beauty and a desire to document his daughter’s basketball successes.
He used these passions to initially hone his skills and then he joined the PPA and began competing seriously. Through the PPA he earned his Certified Professional Photographers degree as well as a master’s degree. Until earlier this year, his photography was mostly a hobby and his day job in tech kept him very busy, but now he is shifting gears. Traveling for both work and fun, he visits some interesting places and captures some incredible images. Outside of his photography work, Keith holds a master’s degree in physics from the University of Florida.
