PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Join internationally award-winning Master Photographer and Master Artist, Gigi O’Dea, as she guides you through her process of creating fine art newborn and infant portraits. Discover her marketing strategies for attracting the "right" clients to build your fine art business. From the initial client contact to product delivery, Gigi will walk you through each step of her process. With over 20 years of experience working with newborns as an NICU nurse, Gigi will share her expertise on handling even the most challenging babies. Learn about her popular Babe plan, which breaks down how to follow newborn clients through their first year. Lastly, discover how she elevates her images to the next level with her Signature Masterpiece images, creating heirloom pieces for clients to cherish forever.
GIGI O’DEA
Gigi O’Dea, owner of Gigi Fine Art Portraits, has 20+ years of experience in photography and 20 years as a Neonatal Intensive Care nurse. She retired from nursing in 2017 to focus on her business. Gigi creates unique portraits with a fine art touch, earning the titles of Master Photographer, Master Artist, Craftsman, and Certified Professional Photographer. Actively involved in Bay Professional Photographers Association (BPPA), she served four years as President. Gigi is also a speaker and judge for local PPA affiliates in Florida.
She has a passion for storytelling and utilizes this skill for her art and competition imagery. Gigi has won Photographer of the Year at BPPA eight times and was a Top Ten Photographer at the FPP state competition for seven years. In 2019, she was awarded Photographer of the Year and Artist of the Year by FPP. She has won Photographer of the Year and the top album award at the FPP state competition in both 2020 and 2023. In the International Print Competition (IPC), her images have been Grand Imaging Award Finalists, with a first place win in the children’s category. She has achieved Diamond Photographer of the Year two years consecutively and finished 2nd place in the newborn portrait category at IPC this year.
