PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
If you’re interested in more than shooting indoors, it’s essential that you obtain the ability to shoot on location while taking significant control of a seemingly uncontrollable environment. This Workshop will provide you with the tools and methods necessary to tackle your own location shoots with confidence while relying on taste and problem-solving rather than worrying about camera settings or having the best gear.
If you’re looking to add amazing shots to your portfolio you’ll go home prepared to take your shooting to the next level. You’ll stop reaching out to models because they’ll be reaching out to you. If you’re already at that level, you’ll leave much closer to turning your hobby into a career. Still not you, or already in career mode? Then let’s get you ready for the higher expectations that come with bigger clients and greater paychecks. In other words, this Workshop is aimed toward all levels of photographers looking to improve the finer details of their outdoor game.
This Workshop is not a mass shootout with a bunch of photographers bumping shoulders for half-decent snapshots of a model who isn’t sure where to look. Instead, you’ll shoot in small groups posing each model 1-on-1 and walk away with images that deserve attention. The Workshop is geared toward those who simply want to produce better pictures on-location — whether working with experienced models or new faces.
What we’ll cover:
Advanced posing & directing
Lighting theory and techniques
Adding and subtracting light with reflectors, strobe, silk diffusion
How to find the right model
Location scouting advice
Wardrobe selection and attainment
retouching options (start to finish)
Gear preferences
What you’ll do:
Update & boost your portfolio
Shoot 1:1 with models
Get professional problem solving advice from a 30 year veteran of celebrity photography
Have the most fun possible while learning!
What you’ll learn:
